Two one-run games on Sunday

Both National League games on Sunday were decided by one run. The Brewers (103-59) held off the Padres (91-71) at American Family Field and took both home games to start the series. In the late game, the Braves (94-68) beat the Dodgers (100-62) 3-2 on the road. Atlanta took one of the two games in Los Angeles, so the series goes to Truist Park tied.

The road team stayed perfect in Cleveland

At Progressive Field on Monday, the White Sox (84-78) won another one-run game, 4-3 over the Guardians (85-77). Chicago won both games in Cleveland and now goes home to Rate Field one win from the ALCS.

Rays win again at home

In Monday's late game, the Rays (98-64) beat the Yankees (93-68) 5-2 at Tropicana Field. Tampa Bay leads 2-0, and the series moves to Yankee Stadium for Game 3.

Where each Division Series stands

Each Division Series is a best-of-five, so a team that leads 2-0 needs one more win.

Following MLB scores while games overlap

From here on, games overlap. On Wednesday, the four games run from 4:00 PM ET to the late game out West. If you follow more than one series, flipping between apps gets tiresome. A score that stays on screen is easier to follow.

What GridTicker shows for a playoff game

GridTicker is a live ticker that runs in a browser on a spare monitor, a TV or a laptop, and there's nothing to install. A live baseball game shows R H E, the inning, the runners on base, the outs and the count. It also shows who is at bat and who is pitching, with each player's line so far. In the playoffs, each game shows its round and the state of the series under the clock. A game still to come shows its start time, its channel and each side's probable starting pitcher, with their record and ERA.

A few moments get their own badge. Runs, home runs and grand slams get a celebration, and a no-hitter bid is flagged from the fifth inning, along with the pitcher's name. Star your team under Favorites, and turn on Favorites first to put it at the front of the baseball row.

The bracket

Turn on MLB under Standings and the strip also draws the postseason bracket. The American League runs from the left and the National League from the right, with the World Series in the middle. Once a series is decided, the winner's name turns green and the loser's turns red. The guide explains how to read the bracket.

One thing to know: GridTicker gets its scores from public sports data providers, which can run a little behind the broadcast.
